Mobility

Practical

By bike

It goes without saying that we recommend you use your bike or public transport to get to the festival. We will also provide spacious and professionally secured bicycle parking next to the festival entrance.

Head over to fietsnet.be and follow the junctions to our festival from your location. Our festival is located in Perk, right next to junction 56. Just follow the signs on your chosen route to the festival when you are near. Please be careful when riding your bike after the festival and make sure you’re clearly visible in the dark.

Public transport

Take into account your own boundaries. Be mindful of the energy you bring with you. We kindly ask everyone to respect personal space while dancing. It is crucial to respect individual boundaries and to act accordingly to the principle of consent. Only a clear and enthusiastic “yes” means “yes”. So please, ask for consent.

Furthermore, we expect all festivalgoers to respect the sexualities, identities and bodies of those around them. The space belongs to everyone. Do not make discriminatory or inappropriate comments regarding somebody’s appearance, gender expression, sexuality, religious expression, disability and/or ethnicity. At Paradise City, we welcome people as they are. Everyone has the right to enjoy music, and it is as simple as that. Respecting everyone’s body and consent is the key to ensuring a positive and enjoyable experience for all.

By car

Carpool

For those who are traveling to our festival by car, we have convenient and secure parking areas available. These three public parking areas will be accessible from different entry points, marked with signage that visitors should follow. As they are located just a short distance from the festival grounds, the parking spots offer easy access and peace of mind. To avoid any unexpected surcharges or changes at the festival itself, we recommend that you purchase your parking tickets in advance through our online ticketshop. By doing so, you'll gain access to the parking area and avoid any potential complications.

Next to that, we have 1 kiss & ride area available for your convenience. This area allows you to drop off or pick up passengers quickly and easily close to the festival. Simply follow the signs to the kiss & ride area on your way to the festival.

Parking

Several parking areas will be available; just follow the signs. Parking 1 for day, combi and camping visitors is on the Kampenhoutsesteenweg. Parking 2 & 3 for comfort visitors is on the Sint Jannekesstraat. You can either buy the parking ticket online (€20 for a day or €30 for the weekend) or pay on-site with your card (please remember that we don’t accept cash). Visitors who don’t carpool (less than three people per vehicle) pay an extra fee of €5.

Shuttle bus

The pick up and drop off point for Antwerp is: Italiëlei 237, 2000 Antwerp, right next to Franklin Rooseveltplaats and a 7 minute walk from Antwerp Central Station.

You can take your shuttle back to Antwerp near the end of the festival, they will drive every 15 minutes between 01:00 and 3:30.

ACCESSIBILITY

With an open mind and solidarity attitude, we aim to meet
the needS and perspectives of our audience every year.

Together with partners and experts, experiencers and companies, we will build an accessibility path from 2022. We do this through a careful and multi-voiced jury, staff, partner and board composition. But also through the WijkJury, a jury composed of residents from the different neighbourhoods in a city. The WijkJury consists of 10 to 12 open-minded city residents of different ages and cultural backgrounds who have had little or no previous contact with theatre. Together, they visit about 10 different performances a year in theatres in their city and choose their favourite at the end of the theatre season: The Choice of the WijkJury, part of the programme from 2024!

There are also ‘relaxed performances’ where the environment and atmosphere are adapted to put the audience at ease, and there is a quiet room in the festival centre for those in need of peace and quiet. But also the possibility to walk in and out during a performance without leaving for good. In addition, there is an open attitude to movement and sound.

Supertitles and multilingual communication ensure that the performance can be followed by everyone. You can find this information on the performance pages under the ‘accessibility’ section.
